I’m not going to deny that it sucks when getting lower grades than you expected. It is difficult to feel you have not accomplished a goal for which you worked hard. But I’m not going to let you wallow in your own self pity at the same time or drink away the disappointment. This is not the end of the planet. Now, I know , I know, I know you’ve already heard that today a thousand times and it doesn’t make you feel any better. But please, hear me out; it doesn’t mean you’re doomed to fail anything and live under a bridge for the rest of your life, to miss the results you expected.
You might not be on the road you were looking for, but you may be on the better. Maybe you don’t get to do the university degree you like, but you might have dodged a powerful bullet. Note the routes to the same destination are different. So even though you’ve got your heart set on a particular path, it just means you’ve got to find another way out there. That does not mean it can not be.
And if that ‘shoot for the stars, you can do something’ speech doesn’t work, you don’t have to take my word for it. Take a look below at this pretty amazing list of wealthy and influential Kenyans who had low high school results, or some were doing well in high school, but couldn’t afford to pay for university degrees before they became famous. These guys may just reassure you that everything is going to be okay, if you refuse to let this little blip define you. They might have gone to school and acquired degrees but that only came once they became famous.
1.Chipukeezy
Clearly, this funny man didn’t need a degree to make us all laugh. Hilarious Chipukeezy is just in his late twenties, but he’s already doing it in his life. He’s not just a comedian, he not only worked as a radio host for Kiss FM. He is currently a board member at NACADA!
2.Bahati
This guy keeps surprising us with how humble he is, and on top of that, he’s so popular and inspiring.
3.Kaligraph Jones
I think when you have a certain amount of money, it comes with some strong American accent, too. Kaligraph Jones isn’t one to be played with, since he’s got the money without the academy.
4.Jaguar
Jaguar was recently one of Kenya ‘s richest musicians, you might not be a fan of his music, but he definitely knows what he’s doing even without a background in education. He went ahead and became MP of Starehe Constituency in Nairobi, the capital Kenya.
5. Redsan
While we haven’t heard from this guy in a while, it’s obvious that Redsan has managed to get a spotlight on his music and innovation without a degree.
6. Hudda Monroe
No matter what people say, let’s just be honest, this girl makes more money than any of us have ever seen or will ever see. She ‘s obviously a hustler, and she’s even managed to get her own makeup line.
7. Octopizzo
We know him as the man who represents Kibera, but at the same time, he’s also so filled with his songs.
8. Kenrazy
It was rumors that Kenrazy was pursuing a degree in aeronautical engineering, but that was a while ago. Either way, this man is certainly not struggling to make money.
9. Colonel Mustafa
We’ve seen him in Nairobi diaries and other controversies that we’re not going to list because that’s none of our business. All you need to know is that this guy is a dirty rich man who didn’t go through university.
